Please note that both the National Suicide Prevention Hotline and the Crisis Text Line are confidential services provided by trained crisis counselors. However, in the event a crisis cannot be de-escalated, both organizations practice "ACTIVE RESCUE." What this means in that they can dispatch emergency personnel (police, EMS, firemen, etc.) to the location of the person in crisis.
